Verbena-like Buzz Button Cocktail

Our version of the popular Verbena Cocktail at the Chandelier Bar at the Cosmopolitan Hotel in Las Vegas.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz. Tequila       
  • .75 oz. Yuzu Juice      
  • .5 oz. Calamansi Juice Concentrate     
  • .5 oz. Ginger Syrup      
  • .5 oz. Simple Syrup      
  • 1 Buzz Button
  • 1 Lemon (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Combine Tequila, Yuzu Juice, Ginger Syrup and Simple Syrup in a shaker
  2. Fill glass with ice
  3. Strain into glass
  4. Serve the Buzz Button on the side, or float on the top as a garnish
  5. Garnish with a lemon (optional)

Drinking Instructions:

It’s recommended to first take a small sip of your delicious cocktail before eating the buzz button. Now that you have tasted the “before”, it’s time to prepare for the “after”.

Chew on the buzz button (you can eat the whole thing with or without the stem) for 10-20 seconds, or until the sensation becomes too much. You can then swallow the flower. At this point you should be noticing a very unique tingling sensation as well as increased saliva in your mouth.

Now it’s time to take a sip of your cocktail to get the get the full “Verbena” buzzed experience.
